We enjoyed the museum and house. It was pouring rain so we skipped the outdoor tour guided by using headphones. We're from the north and I highly recommend this as we don't hear a lot about this rich southern history in New England.

A great way to learn about the history of Andrew Jackson and observe a well-preserved period home. The original, hand-painted wallpaper is in excellent condition! The history tour through the house was informative and well presented. I took the horse and carriage tour around the property grounds which was well guided - it was easy to imagine the everyday workings... More

My mom and I visited The Hermitage and thoroughly enjoyed it. The gift shop is nice with a good selection, the museum is interesting, and the house and grounds are lovely. Highly recommend.

My family was able to touch the past everybody was so friendly and the grounds were well maintained. The Audio Tour was right up our alley as a Touring Band Big Daddy Caddy.

As far as museums go, this one looks great, but content is confusing and crammed in, in no particular order. We both looked at each other throughout the tour... What?? It could use another once over by a museum professional to make it more user friendly. Lots of great info in strange order. We both loved the outdoor segment best.

This is 7th American president Andrew Jackson mansion, its big park as well, once I went inside, they shown video about life of Andrew Jackson and after that, the visit inside the park starts. The 18th century Andrew Jackson mansion has nice American Architecture and shows how the life was 200 years before from now.

If you love U.S. history The Hermitage is not to be missed. Not only is it a well maintained Presidential residence but it looks virtually like the day the President was last thee, even to the bed he passed away in. Well worth the 45 minute drive from Nashville.

A top 5 place to tour when visiting Nashville. The plantation and the house are well worth the effort. Our winter visit was chilly but we dressed for it. The house tour was interesting with great commentary by competent docents. The display of Jackson's life is well displayed in pictures and useful, large placards. His shaping influence in American history... More

Enjoyed the house and grounds. The only problem we had is that we showed up at 8:30 am like their website said, but they didn't open until 9 am. They were aware of the problem but didn't know how to get the issue fixed. I would recommend this if you enjoy history.

This 14-room house is as pristine as it was when built in the late 1700s. Nearly 90% of what it contains belonged to Andrew Jackson and his wife Rachel Donelson making it especially appealing. I was very pleased to hear several of the docents refer to the fact that much of the property came to be because of the work... More
