Really enjoyed seeing the various artists even if we weren't familiar with them. Chris Janson was awesome and very entertaining! We loved how this is still run like an old time radio show with the announcer doing commercials between acts.

I did not buy tickets in advance because I planned on going Super Bowl Sunday and didn't expect a crowd. I was correct in my assumption but judging by the rope lines at the ticketing building, it can get quite busy. The tour allows you to go backstage and see the dressing room and all the other things the performers... More

Let me begin by saying that I am not a country music fan and that my family was skeptical about attending a show at the Opry. We are so glad that we went. The show was really good with a variety of artists. The music was accessible for even those of us who are not familiar with the country stars.... More

Can't visit Nashville without a night at The Grand Old Opry. The Friday night show is a live Radio broadcast. There didn't appear to be any bad seats. It is large enough to be magnificent and small enough to be intimate with the performances. There is some food available (stadium food), but don't plan on a meal. Eat before you... More

We live in a tourist town so we tend to stay away from tourist "traps". This is not one of them. I am accused of having a short attention span but could have stayed here for hours. The music is a wide variety, something for everyone. Was a last minute decision but decided to go to see "Gunner" and "Deacon"... More

On my 5th trip to Nashville I finally made it to the mother church of country music. When in Nashville, you should really try to work this in. It was a great night of entertainment. Several of the performances brought memories of my childhood flooding in. Great performers - and we aren't even big country music fans. The seating is... More

Why go to Nashville? The Grand Ole Opry, of course! Sure downtown Nashville is a must see also with all the attractions centered around Lower Broadway but the main reason to visit this truly southern city is the Opry. Located a few miles north of downtown in a complex that also includes the Opry Mills Shopping Mall and the Gaylord... More

What's not to love about the Grand Ole Opry??? Just make sure you leave in plenty of time to get there. Traffic at the Opry House is horrendous! If you're staying in downtown Nashville leave at least an hour before show time regardless of what Google Maps tells you.
