Belle Meade Plantation is a non-profit historic site located in Nashville, TN. Established in 1807, Belle Meade was revered as the greatest thoroughbred stud farm in the United States. It was home to Iroquois,the first American bred horse to win the Epsom Derby and the great foundation sire,Bonnie Scotland,whose descendants include Secretariat, Seattle Slew, Native Dancer, Big Brown and California Chrome. Belle Meade was owned and operated by the Harding-Jackson family for nearly a century from 1807 until 1906. Today their home is restored to its turn of the century appearance along with several original outbuildings.

Wonderful! Lots of history. We spent several hours just looking at the beautiful house and all the other buildings. Knowledgeable staff. Great wine. Definitely worth a visit!

Beautiful mansion, very well preserved. Tour guides were insightful. Wine tasting was fun! All other buildings on the property were quite informative as well.

The history mansion tour and food and wine pairing are both well worth the cost. Everything was beautiful. The staff were friendly and very knowledgeable. We loved it!

We did the tour on the Segways, we loved it. Our tour guide Erica was great and very knowledgeable. Would 💯% recommend visiting Belle Meade Plantation.

They have very interesting and knowledgeable tour guides. Racehorse farm, slavery, and life of the homeowner, and winery. Lot of history!

One of the best tour guides I've had on this tour. the home is beautiful and I learned a great deal about the area as well as the home. The grounds are gorgeous and the wine shoppe is full of goodness.

I did not notice any Segways on the Plantation. The landmarks are fairly close to each other and we're easy to walk to.

I do not believe that the house was air-conditioned (at least not all of it)-- but it was comfortable during the tour as they do have some type of ventilation that seemed to keep it at a reasonable temperature even when it... More

We used Uber and Lyft while is Nashville. Some drivers worked for both companies and they told us that Lyft vets their drivers more and also their cars. I don't plan to use Uber again. I think either would take you anywhere... More
