We walked around the downtown area and felt safe. There was always a good bit of traffic. We didn't have any issues finding parking. There were a larger number of panhandlers on the weekend.

Put one in mind of Mardi Gras crowds - just without beads and beverages. Look past the crowd and enjoy the neon side of Nashville. Your trip is not complete with a visit to downtown! Go early- leave early. Parking is expensive!!!!
So much fun walking down Broadway and hearing great music everywhere. Lots of fun history too. Also check out 2nd Ave and Printers Alley
