We walked around the downtown area and felt safe. There was always a good bit of traffic. We didn't have any issues finding parking. There were a larger number of panhandlers on the weekend.

I was impressed with downtown Nashville. I'd say it was clean, but we got there the day after the CMT festival and game 6 of the Stanley Cup, so the area was pretty torn up. I was pleasantly surprised -- you know how in some...More

Put one in mind of Mardi Gras crowds - just without beads and beverages. Look past the crowd and enjoy the neon side of Nashville. Your trip is not complete with a visit to downtown! Go early- leave early. Parking is expensive!!!!

like Nashville, a mixed bag. Cool sights, good opportunities for live music and big time sports. somewhere in the evening overrun by drunken people pulled in trailers and bourbon street style antics.

So much fun walking down Broadway and hearing great music everywhere. Lots of fun history too. Also check out 2nd Ave and Printers Alley

A very pleasant surprise! Vibrant, and high energy. This is not the same Nashville I visited 25 years ago. The economy is booming. The restaurant scene is excellent, and an air of southern hospitality is thick!!!

Nashville is synonymous country music. However, I am always surprised by the variety of music for all tastes. It is such a great city filled with great people who are excited about life and the possibilities. Lots to do with friend and families alike. Love...More

So many things to see and just not enough time to see and do it all. It can be very crowded at times.

I would not go back, just to walk around downtown Nashville. Not my cup of tea. It seemed to be more geared to a party type crowd.

New Orleans is great tourist fun. Go over to Mississippi, stop in Biloxi at the Lighthouse. Go to Wentzell's in Mobile, Al for Oysters (Bienville and Grilled or a Seafood Omelete). Make the drive from Mobile to Nashville... More

Going to Nashville for a few days in May. What are the best hotels close to what they call "NashVegas" and is that downtown? Where is the best "have to visit" restaurants and bars. Any other "must sees?" Is it better to Uber and walk around the streets. I see some saying parking is $30

I was just in Nashville last week. We stayed at the Clarion Hotel which is just over the bridge from downtown. It was reasonably priced, clean, comfortable and I felt safe there. The Clarion runs a shuttle to downtown every... More

I have already seen that most of the bars don't let anyone in after 6PM that is under 21 ( we will have 19 year old will be with us). Did you go downtown at night and if so can you be outside and listen or are there other things open to do? I do know that Wild Horse allows under 21.

I think most places that serve food and many do, let people in under 21 after 6 pm. We went to ACME seed and feed and Margaritaville and they both had live music and pp under 21.
