This library definitely deserves the Library of the Year award it won. We attended the Southern Festival of Books, which was held partly in the library. It was the first time we had seen some of the meeting rooms such as the Banner Room and...More

As the daughter of a librarian, I am partial to libraries and have visited a good many in my lifetime. However, I can unabashedly say that the Nashville Public Library ranks at the top of my list. It is an architectural gem of a building...More

I absolutely love the Nashville Library. You will find a variety of material, and a staff most willing to assist in any manner. Love to take a small group of children from my reading group, and help them fall in love with books.

I am reviewing this mainly because of the free concert series they have in the courtyard. The building is impressive and well laid out. We took advantage of a free concert and it was well organized and entertaining. Nashville library was named the best library...More

This library is absolutely breathtaking with marble in the entry and huge open rooms. We absolutely love the space of this library, and right in downtown Nashville. We however cannot stand the way the homeless community has taken it over. A couple of years ago...More

For tourists interested in more than the country music & bar scene, the Nashville area has a lot to offer. From the slave trade to civil war sites, it's an area rich in history. A free visit to the library's 2nd floor "CIVIL RIGHTS ROOM"...More

It is a remarkable building with a vast interior. Besides being a public library, it hosts displays of Nashville history and currently an exhibition of photos of famous private estates and houses. You should not miss it when visiting Nashville.
