There are any number of reviews about this handsome library with its splendid holdings and activities. But is it the PC police at work once more which leaves out why I was totally uncomfortable there? There is an unfortunate homeless problem at the park that faces the library and it spills over into the building. You might want to sit down at... More

This is a beautiful building! The kids section is amazing. If you are visiting Nashville with young kids, this is a great pit stop to let them play. Black history section is very informative. Really nice that they provide free parking for 1 1/2 hours but be sure to not exceed that time or you pay for all.

We were downtown for the book festival and spent some time in the library. This is beautiful historic building on the middle of downtown. This library is wonderful! The children's and teen areas have amazing creative spaces. There are a few large reading rooms and an art gallery. You must check out the Civil Rights Room - Awesome!!

I only went to the library to see the civil rights exhibition but the building was beautiful. The Civil Rights Room is small but very interesting. The room contains many works of literature and reference on the subject but for the casual visitor it is an amazing educational experience. The walls display powerful images associated with the non-violent protests regarding... More

Absolutely beautiful Library with reasonable parking garage attached. Friendly staff. Walk up to the rooftop garden area, a very pleasant area to sit and read a book.
