This is country side driving/stopping not to be missed. Texas is a beautiful state in this part of the world. Slow down. Take it in.

This is one of the prettiest rivers I saw during my Texas trip. It's fascinating to me how these Texas rivers are almost level with the land and don't have high banks, like the ones in NH. Anyway, I loved looking at it. It was hot and dusty enough in Bandera when I was there to jump into this river,... More

We used the Medina River Company for tubing. We did the 1 hour float and this river is amazing. It has water about 70 degrees, is crystal clear and a few rapids spots that are very fun. The scenery is breathtaking. Go on a weekday and you may be alone like we were. It was a great day. The only... More

What a beautiful view at water's edge. Great place to stop and picnic and watch the ducks. There was a cute little play yard for kids as well.

This is a great place to just kick back and enjoy the Medina river as it runs through Bandera. Just to bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the day is all you can ask.

My wife and I used the Medina River Co. to shuttle our two kayaks up river to Peaceful Valley Road. We paid $15 each. We left our truck at the crossing on highway 470. The river is very beautiful and lined with huge Cypress Trees. There are several spots where you will need to portage around. Near the end of... More

My husband and I went kayaking on the Medina for our anniversary. It was so easy to get the kayaks in/out at the local park. No charges and we parked there all day while out on the water. The scenery was breathtaking, it was very peaceful, and in many parts, felt like we were the only people on earth. Definitely... More
