A must stop to their onsite ice cream parlor for a taste of their traditional and new flavors. Always good but more so on a hot summer day. Take time to stop and you won't regret it!

Obviously a place to stop if you are in the area, and you can purchase shirts and other Blue Bell items you can't get anywhere else. But you can't see much of the process. In fact, on Saturday afternoon they even closed the observation area...More

Visit the tasting room for $1 scoops of homemade blue bell. about 12 flavors to choose from. They have a gift shop but you can't actually buy any ice cream products to take home. The visitor's center is informative but wish they had a tour....More

Great visit to the Mecca of ice creameries in Texas. A nice visit (but no tours still, July 2017), and better ice cream at $1 a scoop.....scoops were XL! Wish they would open up tours, but worth the stop just for the awesome ice cream.

As for hygenic reason, the actual factory was not openned for public but we could still see the display and enjoy the icecream which they sold for a dollar a scoop. Plenty of souverniors to buy too.

Even though there was not a "tour", we felt we gained a lot of info from museum and viewing platform. The gift shop was fun, and we LOVED the $1 cup of ice cream. I couldn't eat it all.

The creamery doesn't have tours, but they have an observation deck that you can watch the process through. The staff was very knowledgeable....answered all our many questions. We learned so much. Was surprised when he said they aren't a 24 hour operation. Fun for kids...More

This has never happened to me so I am not sure. Bluebell is the best ice cream I have ever had....especially their homemade vanilla. The opposite of cheap flavored ice cream. I'm sorry you had a bad experience.
