We happily hiked in, watched some kids jump off the big rocks into the swimming hole and then walked to the water area. We took some great pictures and it was a pretty easy walk for my mother-in-law with back problems. We enjoyed our packed lunch at one of the many picnic tables. You have to drive through all of... We had some struggles with getting the reservation (I don't know that we were working with someone from the site or not). We were wanting a space that would be minimal for hammock camping, but originally were placed in an RV spot (and we weren't told. They let us transfer that day without penalty. Although the primitive camping sites were... More

Unfortunately campsites were all booked for this weekend. We stayed in a hotel in Burnet to enjoy the weekend here. They had several family oriented activities for the weekend. We did a guided hike with a ranger, Jasmine. She was friendly and knowledgeable as were staff we saw throughout the park. Lots of Amenities. There's a convenient-like store where you... More

Went with family. Beautiful with lots of blue bonnets, Indian paints and black eyed Susan flowers. Park well kept up. Staff knowledgeable and friendly. Bathrooms were clean

One of the best state parks in Texas. Went tent camping there andd stayed at campsite 83 whch was about 50 yards to the lake. For tents I think the campsites in the 90s are the best spots. Make reservations early on-line because the park fills up quickly. We go mid week to avoid the crowds. The bathrooms across from... More

Inks Lake State Park is one of my favorite state parks in Texas. It is so beautiful being right on the water and surrounded by Texas hills. It is a relatively large park with lots of acreage. I have camped there with my RV several times and there are numerous beautiful spots to camp and each spot has a picnic... More

Probably one of my favorite state parks. We camped in a travel trailer and had a site right on the lake. The sites are fairly close together, though. There were mostly tent campers during our stay. It was spring break so fairly crowded. This is a popular park so it is usually crowded any time of the year. Great hiking... More

We went tent camping at Inks Lake after much research. There were not lots of trails, but we camped on the lake and it was beautiful and relaxing. Put up the ENO and took a nap in the shade. Bathrooms weren't the best, but doable. Plus I will say, the employees were always nice and very helpful. Mid week was... More

Seven families camped in Inks Lake SP for Spring Break! We stayed in the limited use cabins. The park was very clean and offered several things to do. We rented the canoes and paddle boats. We hiked the trails. The park is kid and pet friendly. The park rangers patrolled often which created a sense of safety and security. The... More
