This lake is beautifully located in Cedar Hill, just south of Grand Prairie. Great lake, plenty to see and do. There is camping, boat and jet ski rentals. Oasis restaurant & bar which has live music on weekends. Parks and camping too. Pet friendly, and motorcycle friendly. I highly recommend it.

This is a nice lake to take the boat out, or you can rent a pontoon and spend a few hours out on the lake. The fishing is pretty good and it is a good sized lake to cruise around. If you have younger kids, take them to the marina and bring a couple loaves of cheap bread. They will... More

Take a bike ride or nice walk with your dogs on the dam! Great view and very peaceful! Also excellent bird watching!

We had a wedding photo shoot there and it was amazing. The lake itself is not very big though. The chore is quite rocky. But it is nice seeing blue water and the atmosphere itself is really lovely.

Nice to be out on the water. Was a little chilly this time of year but enjoyed our day. Liked the marina set up where everyone gathered and socialized.

We love this park, prices are reasonable, and for us close to home. We can come camp or visit for a day and feel like we are miles away from where we live. They keep it clean.

You can't beat walking or biking for free on top of the Joe Pool Lake dam. We come here time after time for the scenery and free exercise. The best time to come is late April or early May when you can see the bluebonnets blooming. But this is always a beautiful place to walk or ride a bike. You... More

We visited the Lake in Sept and did some knee boarding with our family - 6 kids in all The water was pretty cool even at this time of the year, but that didn't stop us from enjoying a few hours of swimming. We were pretty cautious about where we anchored and made sure the kids stayed in life jacket... More

Enjoyed the peacefulness of our location. The fishing wasn't all that great but we had a good time. My daughter fed ducks and we enjoyed the mild weather for a November. Will go back when it's less hot and less cool.
