Field Trip

Our school went on a field rea here. It was such an interesting collection. I really like the early Native America exhibit. The building is a treasure in its own right.

I love Carnegie Library buildings and this is one of the best I've seen. Love that it's in a small town near the old courthouse square! And that it's free. Anyway, the collection has some wonderful things like Kit Carson's saddle, General Cleburne's saddle and gun,a large collection of Native American artifacts, and lots more. There's a beautiful auditorium upstairs... More

Loved it! Museum rivals one found in a big city. Displays are very well done. Staff was friendly and so much to see. Both kids and adults in our party found favorites here. Highly recommended.

We go at least once a year to see some new thing on display. Children events every month and place you can see CSA General Pat Cleburne pistol and uniform.

Changing small collections make for frequent enjoyable visits. Mostly Cleburne history. Small gift shop has reasonably priced unique treasures. Friendly, knowledgeable staff.

If you want a glimpse into Cleburne's history, then this is the place to go. Incredible trip and you get to see one of the original Carnegie buildings which is another trip in itself. You can't go wrong with this visit. A true education. The adults and kids will love this place.

We stayed at the Liberty Hotel and this little museum was within walking distance. We didn't expect much, but they have very nice displays and the pleasant staff made the visit very pleasant. Nice way to spend an hour or more depending on how much detail you are interested in.
