I love places where I'm able to enjoy time with those who I love without a second thought of time or money, as we enjoy the city. This was certainly one of those places!

Fair Park is a go to place when it's time for the fair. Many rides and attractions to experience, but the most important is the food. Anything you can eat is most likely going to be on the fair grounds, fried. Great place to go...More

If you're there for it, the Texas State Fair is definitely something to consider. It's big (of course), full of great exhibitions and architecture, and has some of the best midway food (meaning bad for you but amazingly tasty) you can find.

Visiting in March, there are only a couple of nice children oriented museums open but it was a very nice stroll around the lagoon and seeing the many Exposition era buildings. It is accessible by DART but much better if you have a car.
