This old cemetery is close to the cattle sculptures and it's worth a quick visit if you are in the area. Resting place of many early Dallas settlers.

It's no surprise that a Cemetery in a downtown park is trampled and unsightly. The battle between protection and access is won by access here. Grave stones are knocked over. Grounds are trampled dirt. Signs are bent. It's unsightly and a little embarrassing for Dallas....More

I saw the gravestones while near Pioneer Park. It was a peaceful walk through the cemetery. I enjoyed reading the headstones. Nice area.

This is an open "green-space" where you can stroll beneath the trees just behind the Convention Center, next to Confederate war memorial and near the cattle drive sculpture. There are stones from this and other area cemeteries that dates to the early to mid 1800's....More

Adjacent to Pioneer Plaza and the Cattle Drive Sculpture a couple of blocks south of downtown Dallas, its worth a few minutes to visit to see the names, dates and pay respects to some of the pioneers who founded the area.

A great site for all ages! The park has a little waterfall, rocks to climb, room to walk and is a great photo spot.

The cemetery has no fences. it is open air & located in downtown Dallas near lots of tourists sites. You can come & go anytime within reason. I do not know of a contact person for the cemetery. it has lots of graves of... More
