Denison is a cute little railroad town looking to reinvent its self as an arts and festival town. The birthplace historical attraction is a lovely slice of the full package. The property is lovely. Care was put into the restoration. The grounds are well kept and makes for a pretty background for photos. They were closed when we went by,... More

The Eisenhower Birthplace site is a bit difficult to get to, but worth the visit. It is a large campus with plenty of room for kids to run around. You can enjoy the site without paying the surprisingly small $4.00 admission fee. If you do take the tour, the guide is informative and articulate.

In Denison visiting friends, we had breakfast at CJ's and then toured Eisenhower's Birthplace. Maxine is the perfect tour guide. Her love and passion for Denison, President Eisenhower, and history is contagious. The master gardeners do a great job with the grounds---perfectly manicured!! We were so surprised to see blooming flowers. This place is a must stop for everyone, all... More

There is a visitor's center where you can read lots of information about Eisenhower and watch a short video on his life. While you could stop there at no cost, it doesn't make sense not to take the short walk and tour the house. For $4 for adults and $3 for children from 6-18. We were given a brief tour... More

Had the chance to visit the birthhouse of President Eisenhower in Denison, TX. Ike was President when I was born so I've always considered him "my President". Very interesting location with helpful guides. I highly reccomend a visit.

We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon, around 2:00 PM. A small group of about 6 people were listening to a tour guide in front of the house. We joined them. When the guide opened the house, he told my wife she would have to wait half an hour for the next tour before she could see the inside. We... More

A very interesting place to visit. I had no idea how informative it would be on such a great President. The video was very good too. The grounds are well kept and so pretty.

Knowledgable and interested tour guide; not just a paid position. Well kept. Nicely preserved for such a small part of American history.
