We visited a number of antique shoppes on a nice Saturday afternoon. The old buildings are so charming. Unfortunately, I could't help but feel the town is dying. I hope I'm wrong, but there are so many vacant buildings, I assume victims of "progress" out on the main highway. I truly hope some entrepreneurs see the potential and make an... More

I really hate it that Denison is demolishing its old historic brick streets. Back home in Nacogdoches, the oldest town in Texas, they kept up the brick streets as it adds charm and historic value to the town. Yes, they are rough but at least we still don't drive horse and buggy.

Accessible parking. Downtown merchants were quick to suggest other merchants and local eateries. Very nice.

Downtown Denison has worked hard to have something for everyone. There truly is something to entertain everyone, from antique shopping, to small town cafes, even a winery. The chamber calendar boasts many family friendly events.

Denison downtown reminds me of what life was like in my home town in the 50's- 60's. It is very small-townish with local ownership of all the shops & botiques & hardware store, service businesses, antique shops, pubs, ice cream places, etc. The houses had that midwestern old townish look, very nice, well kept, for the most part. Looks to... More

So many cute shops, antique shops, theaters, local brew house, coffee house, restaurants, pubs, cafes and bakeries. Plenty of parking on street and in the next block over. We were here Thanksgiving weekend and there was an ice skating rink set up. There were Christmas decorations up and a large community tree. Lots of families out and about. One thing... More

The historic feel of this street is amazing, From the antique furniture stores to the candy shoppe, it's like the buildings are frozen in time. One of my favorite things was finding candy from yester year and the feel of walking where our anscestors once roamed.

I went there a few days ago and it was very old and run down. The roads were brick and it looked like it was built in the wagon times! The employees in the antique store didn't say hello when I walked in! Very rude.

We left the beach at Texhoma Lake to seek some browsing through historic Denison, TX. Main Street is very strollable. There are antique stores, art shops and small town venues. Be sure to get a burger and milk shake at Warson's Drive In.
