This courthouse is an excellent place to visit to see the architecture of the late 1800's. I has three floors and a basement museum and has ben fully restored. The best time to visit is on a Saturday as there is a lot going on the square around the courthouse.

The museum in the court house is excellent! The museum staff was very busy and extremely attentive to visitors. She answered questions and pointed out specific items.

What a great place to go learn a lot about the origins and history of Denton and Denton County. Lots of neat displays and facts abound in this historic courthouse built in the late 1800s and still a great building in use today. Not having visited the building in many years - a recent tour there revealed there is a... More

If you have a little time on your hands and can appreciate well cared for historical buildings, you'll enjoy this Courthouse. Original in all ways except what runs through the walls (like computer cables), it's an interesting site. Not recommended for summers as they don't cool the main parts of the building, only office areas.

It is a great historic structure. I'm glad it is being maintained in good shape. There are free outdoor music events most Saturday mornings at the courthouse.

Our son and daughter in law just got married on the courthouse lawn. Everything was absolutely beautiful and they even provided security to make sure that the area was secure from outside people. I couldn't imagine anything better. Whether you are looking for a place to go visit some history or like my family you are looking for a place... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. It showed a side to Denton and surrounding cities/neighborhoods that I would not have known otherwise. It lacks the extravagance of big city museums, but it still draws you in none the less. The interactive displays were especially enjoyable. I recommend it!
