We pulled into Solaro on a whim while we were in the area popping in to other breweries and wineries. $15 for a tasting, which gets you very teeny tiny pours of 5 varieties. The wine was OK, nothing really grabbed us and made us want to buy a full glass or a bottle. The setting is pretty enough, but... More

Dripping Springs has some terrific pizza, pastrami, and Tex Mex lunch spots. We did a post lunch tasting at Solaro. There was a wedding party outside and a group doing a tasting with food accompaniment inside. Nonetheless, Olivia was attentive and informative. It was a leisurely tasting We tasted five wines for $15. At least three of the wines were... More

We stopped in a couple wineries one Sunday and tried wines and or olives. We had heard a lot about Solaro and were glad we found it. We enjoyed the wines we tasted but were a bit disappointed that the only way we could taste the other wines on their list was to become a wine club member. We did... More

Beautiful setting right next to vines. Wines were a bit dry for me but might suit others. Great setting with outdoor patio. Very secluded.

This place makes its wine from grapes in its vineyard-- red wines. The blended wines were tasty. And we bought two bottles. Unusually, the port was delicious and not two sweet -- we bought a bottle. We went on a Wednesday around lunch time. While indoor seating was available, there is an outdoor seating area and a soothing waterfall. There... More

This review is actually for the Dripping Springs location as well as the Houston location. We visited Dripping Springs first and thought that the tasting was smaller - really small. It was $10 for 5 tastings. Ok price, but for the amount that was poured, it was crazy. Yesterday at the Houston location, it was $12 for 5 tastings, even... More

I love this vineyard very much. the staff are all professional and very knowledgeable about the wines and the tasting room is clean and has some tables and chairs for visitors to sit and enjoy the wine. on the premises is a huge vineyard. although some of the grapes are shipped in to make the wine, I found the wines... A friend and I dropped by on a recent Saturday morning and enjoyed sampling five of this Texas-specific winery's offerings. All were delicious and I wound up with two bottles of white in my luggage back to Phoenix. Solaro encourages guests to bring a long a picnic lunch and enjoy the grounds. I would definitely do that next time.

We have been to Solaro Estates a number of times, the most recent being Saturday January 22nd. While it is a fun trip into the Hill Country and a nice venue with the vines right at the property, the wines are just ridiculously over-priced. We went for the tasting which is $12 per person. Our server did know about the... More

We discovered Solaro a few years ago, and the excellent wine impressed us so much that we joined the wine club. The wine doesn't disappoint. There are a wide range of delicious whites and reds that we truly enjoy. The Dripping Springs location includes vineyards and a working ranch. Solaro has its roots in Italy, and the family expanded to... More
