You can't say you've seen Fort Worth without a visit to this historic location. There's plenty to do here, with all the restaurants, bars, stores, museums, etc. you can ask for. There's even longhorn cattle drives twice a day.

This area is full of bars, eating places, the rodeo building and gift shops, it is a little on the expensive side as is all the area but it is not something you see every day, it is made to look an old western town and who can blame them for it is their heritage, go visit and enjoy

We were trying to decide between visiting the Ft. Worth downtown area or the Stockyards. We chose the stockyards and I'm glad we did. The area has the look and feel of a different time. The restaurants and saloons were authentically old, not made to look old. Twice a day they drive a small herd of Longhorn cattle down Exchange... More

We were there on a rainy day, so it was a bit of a challenge to dash from awning to awning, but it was enjoyable (and less crowded) regardless! Lots of touristy shops (with touristy prices to match) but the trail drive was worth it. Looking forward to going back. Next to the Riverwalk in San Antonio, Exchange Ave is... More

Walking up and down the street from the Stockyard through the old shops, hotels, and eateries gives you a little taste of the old southwest - but it is pretty touristy...in a fun way.

Exchange was much like it was 20+ years ago when I was last there. A few names over the doors had changed but it had the same feel. Burgers at Tim Loves' place (fab!), the Herd (a bit anticlimatic-were the longhorns drugged?) and a BRILLIANT rodeo experience for my English children at the Cowtown Coliseum.

Lots of people walking the streets and enjoying the crowds. The rodeo was sold out so we stopped for bbq. Spent some time watching the horses warm up behind the coliseum. Just a pleasant evening, even though we had to park in the last parking lot!

Loved walking up and down the street and going to all the shops. Saw the cattle drive and loved it. Nice place to visit

Definitely a tourist area but we had a very good time walking around visiting the shops, walking into the lobby of the old hotel, wandering thru the Exchange Building and the shops and restaurants in the old mule barn areas. Everyone was having good clean fun. The longhorns on the sidewalk for photos gave us a close up look.
