Although the building is still used for business, it houses the Stockyards museum. Inside you will find items and history of the Stockyards, rodeos and Ft Worth itself. In addition, it houses the "second" oldest continuing burning light bulb.

Enjoyed the cattle drive and a guide was very informative, giving us an insight to trading livestock

If you in the Stockyards vicinity you must call in here to get a sense of the history. You can peek in the windows and see the current lawyers and auctioneers offices.

The cattle show is very fast and over quickly. Hardly any time to take pictures. Too many people in the way and the heat was almost unbearable.

Interesting to tour, on the weekends they normally have live musicians out front for everyone to see, in the back of this building in the pens they normally have animals for your kiddos to see and some sort of demonstrations going on that you can watch.

Its free to tour this lovely old building. The livestock pens are in the back. There is an overlook area for looking out over the livestock. There was only a few longhorns when we were there. It gives you a good feel for the old days.

The Livestock Building is free to tour and one can see the Herd from the back. It is historic and for that reason, good to tour. There was a small concert on the steps in the afternoon. At 11:30 and 4:00, the Herd will walk in front of the building on their way to the pens.

We had a very fun time there. We will go back again next time friends or family are in town. Pretty hot in the afternoon though.

You just have to watch the Longhorns come down the street. It is short and quick but it pretty neat. Free to watch.
