Interesting exhibits

Not normally ones to visit Modern Art museums, we were happy we came to visit here. There were very unique exhibits and it wasn't so huge that it felt overwhelming.

The best one hour you can spend in FW! Splendid architecture houses a well selected collection with helpful notes on most pieces. Free on Sundays.

I'm a fan of modern art because I don't worry about "getting it." I just like the textures, colors, and drama of abstract pieces. The variety of abstract art at the modern is impressive, including sculptures, large pieces, and multimedia installations. My kids were fascinated with the space itself with its industrialized walls and large glass windows letting in rippling... More

Interesting and eclectic collection of modern art. Enjoyed the gallery but felt that the white spaces could have been better used to increase the number of exhibits. Would recommend a visit, with modern art you will never like it all but there is enough variety to ensure you are engaged during your visit.

If you are interested in Modern Art, this facility has numerous exhibits. But for me, the building is magnificent and has numerous appointments worth seeing. An auditorium inside also has a number of shows or entertainments during the year. Parking is free but can be complicated on active days.

OK, I'm not a big fan of modern art, but this museum is well worth a visit. The permanent collection contains a magnificent Picasso and many other very interesting pieces. The revolving collection was about disaster art, done with media like tar and asphalt. Very dark and depressing. I didn't like it, but that's a personal opinion. I guess a... More

We were disappointed that some of the exhibits we hoped to see were gone, but new ones not yet up. Having said that, there is still a lot to see. I'm not a huge fan of modern art, but I still found things I enjoyed.

Great option, especially on a hot afternoon. Always something good in the gallery, but the building itself is an artistic wonder. My favorite spot is the cafe, with its glass walls overlooking the reflecting pool. Chef is excellent. Last trip I enjoyed a grilled Caesar with a few glasses of nicely chilled Chardonnay. Truly a relaxing spot.

Apologies to the Cowgirl Museum and the Kimbell, but MoMA Ft. Worth is my absolute favorite! They have such interesting, sometimes unexpected exhibits, and I love the architecture of the building itself. I have brought my kids there several times, and look forward to going back without the kids and enjoying lunch in the cafe.
