If you are an airline geek like I am this is an excellent museum. It's not your typical aviation museum where you will see old planes. Instead, this is an interactive museum that explains how a major airline operates.

The museum is only minutes from the DFW airport, so a cab can certainly get you there. I don't know of any bus routes that go by there. Any cab company should be able to give an approximate cost by phone. Avoid the peak traffic hours and it's less than a ten minute ride. If you have a long layover, it's a great place to visit.
