You can go down to the beach area via stairs. The beach itself was pretty dirty. The sand was almost like the model clay foam. The day we was there you could see straws and things floating close to the beach. I noticed the wall area also had quite a bit of garbage around it. I don't know how often... More

My kids have lived in Galveston for the last year and half while attended UTMB. During this time, I have no idea why anyone would actually make a trip to visit this area. The beaches are dirty, the homeless residents work the areas and it flat out smells. With the number of other options along the TX coast (even West... More

Beautiful view and wonderful morning walk on the beach. Not far from the hotel. Plenty of room to walk, jog or play ball with your dog.

We stayed at far end of seawall which was very quiet. There were lots of people walking and biking up and down the sidewalks . It reminded me if small town old fashioned beach town. The only thing we didn't like were the crazy bike mobiles m. There were tons of them...felt a little unsafe traffic wise after dark

Very quiet and pretty in October especially midweek. The weather was nice for walking along the beach.

The Seawall is Galveston's beach shore line. We visited multiple times and it was always very nice. The pay to park is done by phone and is super easy and very inexpensive, great multiple access points and the beaches were clean and nice!

There is plenty of beach for everyone. Bring a bag and pick up seashells with the family, or just stroll along the beach and watch the waves crash in.

I really enjoyed our stroll along the seawall. Their are several steps to take to get to the beach. The smell of the water was great, I've come at other times of the year and it smelled awful. I wish we could have walked more but we are so out of shape. Picking up seashells was enjoyable.

All types of activities along the seawall including rentals of all kinds, mostly bicycles. But some people walk and/or jog.
