The seawall is clean and there is parking along the side. Good place to walk with the family. They are making some more beautification changes and additions on the seawall. Several historical points of interest along the seawall. The seawall was built after the 1900 hurricane and is a landfill so to speak. The debris from the aftermath was placed... More

We looked at the Seawall with a sense of what it must be like when a raging storm comes in without it and marvel at how so many were lost in the Storm of 1900. This is an amazing testament as to how people decide they want to live "here" and how to do it. If you Geocache, check out... More

Peaceful and tranquil. A short hot over to Houston- about 45 minutes to an hour away depending on traffic. Always has been clear for me to head over. Wonderful place for locals to consider a staycation, as the choice for hotel, dining and entertainment is all within walking distance. Wonderful people down there at Galveston island- clean area along the... More

Can't come to Galveston without walking the Seawall. Was foggy on our trip but we still walked down the beach.

Galveston has changed so much over the years and the seawall is the place to see it all happen. A walk on the seawall is a must for visitors. You can even ride a bike or a surrey for the family.

Whenever we go to the beach in Galveston, we always park along the seawall. Usually directly across from The Spot so we can just walk across the street to eat whenever we're hungry. The Pier amusement park is within view which only adds to the experience as we walk along the seawall, hoping to get in our 10,000 steps before... More

As a texan there is no such thing as "winter" but we did experience the craziest fog ever while we were here. But that didn't stop us the beach was still enjoyable to walk on and search for seashells. There was weird walking on the beach with all the fog since you couldn't see out more than 1/2 a mile....
