We enjoyed our stay along the seawall. We didn't realize how busy the highway was in between our condo and the beach. Beach was as expected - muddy but still fun. Waves were rough but a tropical system was moving through the area at the...More

The Seawall runs along the southern edge of Galveston, providing access to the beach along its length. Free parking is present along the entire length, and numerous stores and hotels are located just across the boulevard. Anticipate a strong breeze coming in from the Gulf,...More

The seawall is AWESOME. a bit noisy during the summer -- but the beach, rolling waves and 'just being there' makes it all worth it! and to see the ocean vessels coming into port is always a treat!

Galveston has truly done a wonderful job cleaning and improving the entire beach area! Quite an improvement over previous experience..enjoyed the lack of commercialization..take a tent!

Yes it is a good beach for families. With a very gradual decline, most of the time the water is shallow a good distance from the beach. Yes you can bring your own umbrellas and chairs.
