Great fishing, Cool food service, just a little more expensive than I think it should be

I have been fishing in Galveston for the past four years but never tried this pier. It was awesome. Very friendly and helpful staff, nice little store with coffee bar. Clean restrooms and a clean pier. They are adding restrooms out at end of pier as well.

you can walk partially out but then must pay to go beyond about mid point. The pay station is a typical tourist shop with all the crap we've come to expect from shops like this

Great place! Went to Jimmy's on the pier for dinner! Good beer and burgers and chowder! Coffee is great downstairs . Staff is super nice , kid friendly . Pay the small fee to walk out on pier -totally worth the stroll !! My nephews gave the local ice cream a big thumbs up' 👍🏼

A great view, good fishing, but Texas needs a bottle law. I don't think I have seen so much garbage and old bottles anywhere in the country as this area.

Hello, I wanted to address your disappointment in seeing alot of trash on the island. Galveston has alot of visitors and they have made great strides in keeping up with what is regularly left behind by visitors of our beaches, there is always room to improve and our Parks Board has a great group that is aggressive in working towards... The staff is super friendly! The pier is also kept very clean so it's a wonderful place to take your children to fish. They have great gear to rent too if you did not plan on fishing!

I took my two girls out for an all night fishing trip on the pier. This was a very good experience. First, they had all the bait you could need, a restaurant that delivers food on the pier or you can eat in the restaurant. They had clean restrooms, and plenty of places along the pier to fish, cut bait,... More

I guess it might be worth paying to walk on the pier if you have never been to any of the many other piers in the US that are free (Santa Monica and San Fran come to mind). If you want to deal with unfriendly people and pay way too much for what you get go ahead and drop your... More
