The easiest beach to get to in Galveston is Stewart Beach. There always seems to be plenty of parking, although you cannot drive right up to the water without a fishing license or handicap sticker.

Easy to park, good facilities, friendly staff. A bit cool and windy but that wasn't their problem. Kids had a great time.

Compared to other beaches on the Gulf I've visited, this one ranks toward the bottom. The beach itself was OK, but not worth the parking fee we paid. The beach was fairly clear of litter/trash but the water was murky/muddy looking. The shower/restroom facilities were...More

Beach was perfect and clean, even after the recent hurricane. The best thing about the beach was the free parking right next to the sand. Beware, claims on website restrooms are near.... not unless you park in a different location or walk to McDonald’s. We...More

It would be very crowded in the summer. There was only a few visitor at the time we were here. It's a recreation place with the facilities such as shower, restroom, food, gift shop etc.

One of the best beaches in Galveston. Huge parking lot for this beach. Usually go there to spend the whole afternoon. Great place to spend time with friends and family. The beach is clean and easily accessible. The pleasure pier is close by.

There is a charge for parking here. We spent a hot day digging in the sand and swimming in the Ocean. The beach was a little murky. It was crowded on the day we went. I wouldn't bother renting a chair. There are bathrooms with...More
