What can I say, this is a cavern. Mostly sandstone color, some color some areas. lots of neat stalagmites and stalactites. Interesting finds of prehistoric bones. This cave was found while building the IH 35.

I may be the victim of seeing too many caves in my life. Inner space caverns is a nice cave and great if you live locally, but if you have seen over 20 caves, you may not be too amazed. I arrived about 10 minutes...More

We are always looking for interesting places to visit, especially those that have historical significance. We took the long tour and the scenery was exciting! The story of the cavern's discovery and ongoing exploration is just fascinating. Even if you don't want to take the...More

I was here to accompany my child's school group. The cave was cool. The formation was average, except a couple of interesting ones to see. But kids like it so it's the positive side. My major complaint is our tour guide C. She must have...More

We had a wonderful morning exploring the cave with a teenager and a nine-year-old. Very informative our God was fantastic. As for JJ he's really funny. You won't go wrong. My only complaint was the animals outside either hooves trimmed desperately. Told them so so...More

My 80+ year old Dad and I enjoyed the sights, but be forewarned that the walking can be a challenge for old knees. Learned a bit about prehistoric Texas, saw amazing underground creations, a few bats, and enjoyed the outing. The outdoor space was great...More

We did gem mining outside waiting for our turn (1.5 hrs wait due to large school groups), picnic lunch (bring your own because food options are very limited, snacks only but plenty of picnic tables), playground for kids and some shopping. Cave is wet and...More

This was so much fun for our family. We had JJ as a tour guide and he answered questions from everyone in the group and was patient with each of us as we lagged behind taking pictures and talked about what we were seeing. We...More

My ten year old grandson loved it. Not recommended if you have bad knees or balance issues. Steep and slippery in some parts. Fascinating.

Shouldn't be a problem. They have a special tour for cavers but the normal tour is down corridors of stone larger than most elevators and then into large rooms. At one point you get to experience total darkness. Don't know... More

I'd like to know why my review was altered. I used the words "stalagmites and stalactites" but find "statutes and statutes" in the review. This alteration makes me appear to be an idiot. I would rather remove the review than to publish a review that makes me appear entirely stupid.

Could it be possible that the auto correct did the alteration and you didn't notice before posting? I have never had any of my reviews altered.
Is the tour appropriate for children aged 4 & 5?

I have been in the cave a few times and the general tour is relaxed, not hurried. It is appropriate for all ages although i suspect a very young child might get tired walking and need to be carried. For price and time... More
