A Diamond in the Rough

Great place to be entertained and beautiful setting. Not a bad seat in the house. They did a wonderful job renovating this historical landmark.

The Opera House is a local treasure for Granbury. We visited during the performance of Steel Magnolias. It was a great play and a great place to see talented performers givnig their best. It is a wonderful theater and a must see when you visit this city.

The Opera House in Granbury has been completely redone in the last year. The entry and interior are brand new. They did manage to keep some of the original building and it certainly has the feel of the old theater. There is floor and balcony seating. All of it is excellent. The sound system is great and the theater is... More

It's a lovely theater in a lovely town. Seating is comfortable, with a little more legroom than you find in some theaters. We sat in row S, near the back of the balcony, and could still see well. I am 5'1, but balcony seating is tiered, so I had no problem seeing over the rows in front of me. (The... More

Purchased the tickets for my parents 50th Anniversary as one of my gifts. The cast were very talented and we enjoyed the show. Love the building.

This marked the third visit we made to the theater. Previously we had seen Sweeney Todd and Singing In The Rain. This time we saw Meet Me In St. Louis. It was a great show! I'm not crazy about musicals but I have always found ones here to be funny and entertaining. This one did not disappoint! Fun with a... More

We attended a free Veterans Day concert here on November 11th, 2016. The building was already being decorated for Christmas and beautiful. Intimate venue.

I really wanted to attend a performance at the Opera House while I was visiting Granbury but will have to make a return visit. I did take a short tour of the building and it was beautifully remodeled. Not a large venue, as they say, Intimate, but looks like a wonderful place to spend an evening. I look forward to... More

I'm giving it one star due to the lousy customer service, by Sarah, the manager / business manager of the place. Her customer service skills need a lot of work! I took my 82 yo grandmother to see The Long Run Band from Colorado (tribute to the Eagles) last Saturday night. Yes, we were 30 minutes late and although my... More
