This used to be a GREAT winery. Then they stopped making wine and sold others' wine. Then a few years ago they stopped doing that. Now just a venue that you can rent for parties or receptions, etc. The management there is really off. I tried to get quotes for a function and it was very disorganized. I cannot figure... More

This is no longer a winery. Only a venue. I rented in January for a rehearsal dinner to be held May 30th. The venue manager tried to be helpful but doesn't honestly do much. States the management doesn't want to spend the money on things. Many things are needed in the venue. For being an outdoor facility you would think... More

The wine is pretty good (and generously poured in my experience), the staff us attentive and helpful, but the patio is simply amazing! Walk the wine trail and definitely stop here and rest your feet for a bit. They usually have live music on the weekends. Excellent choice for a date.

A few months ago La Buena Vida became a venue for special events, verified at local and regional wineries. Not open to the public at this time, which is too bad because sitting on the patio with a nice glass of local or South American wine was always a great way to spend an afternoon.

We went by twice during Grapefest and the place was closed both times. I also noticed there were no set recent reviews. Maybe they are closed?

We were looking forward to an evening of wine tasting with family and friends but we went by and they were closed on a Saturday @ 7pm. I thought the website said they were open until 9pm.

We walked into a practically empty tasting room, however, no-one greeted us. We picked up the wine menu from the counter to review but was not addressed from the staff that were walking around behind the bar. Finally a waitress stopped and asked if she could help us. We said we would like to try a tasting to which she... More

My friend and I wondered into the winery one Saturday afternoon. What a lovely surprise. The wine tender was so helpful. We selected a flight and headed out to the courtyard. On Saturdays they have live music. We stayed and listened to the music enjoyed our wine. Great time,we will go back.

Texas has an interesting definition of "winery" and "vineyard" compared to most states. You could go to a self-proclaimed "winery" and find yourself in a wine shop, or a tasting room unattached to a physical vineyard, or, in this case, a wine bar. Very rarely will you actually end up at a winery. The place is set up like most... More
