There are at least 4 parts to the free Grapevine Settlement to City Museums at Ted R. War Plaza at 206 W. Hudgins Street.. There is the excellent Grapevine Historical Museum that exhibits Grapevine artifacts. Start here to get orientated by knowledgeable volunteers. Then proceed to the other buildings: Cotton Ginners Museum, Donald (2-room) schoolhouse and the Folk Victorian style house --family & printing building.

I live in Grapevine an take all of our out of town guests to the Museum. For a City the size of Grapevine, we have a lot to be proud of and a lot of history to share. Every time i visit the museum, I learn more about my town. Highly recommend.

We initially entered to get our of the heat but the visit was well worth it. Very friendly member of staff and volunteer and interesting even to a history nerd like myself.

I cannot say enough good words about the fantastic staff at the museums! Unfortunately, I didn't get names, but they were just amazing and informative and patient with my 10-year-old wanderer. They took the time to explain exhibits, hand out souvenier buttons, and even let him touch (with supervision) various artifacts. We learned a lot and truly enjoyed our visit.

The Grapevine Museums are located just behind the Convention and Visitors Bureau building, which houses the Visitor Information Center on West Hudgins St, just off of Main St. This is truly a hidden gem in Grapevine taking you on a historical walk of Grapevine's rich history. Classes are occasionally offered and tours are done weekly. Totally worth checking out if you are in town for the day!

Lot of cool history and fun facts about the area. Go during a festival for the best views. They will load you down with brochures of fun stuff to do for the next year.

The whitewashed buildings have been brought to a site for a great look at the past in this area of Texas. They are well-preserved and give a great social history of the Southerners who lived in the region.

Lots of shops, specialty stores, indoor flea markets, clothing and jewelry. Restaurants, drinks, deserts, all within walking distance. Daytime outgoing train excursions, and nighttime dinner theatre.

this is a nice break from the crummy museums you often find in small towns. It is worth a stop if you're in the area.
