Very pleasant and interesting place to visit, especially after the crowded, crazy city of Houston. Easy to find with good parking. Displays were easy to follow. Very informative history we knew little about. Quite a bit of variety which keeps the feeling light. Modern building with nice plantings in front.

This was actually more interesting than we thought it would be. They have a collection of antique hearses, hearse sleighs, examples of period coffins, as well as information of different burial customs and trends through time. Oddly interesting.

we made a side trip to houston just to see this museum, and i think it was worth it. there is a lot to see here and the museum is huge. there is kind of a macabre exhibit corner for everyone here- the hearses, presidential funerals, the pope's funeral and grave, dioramas about funerals and embalming and death-centered celebrations through... Not knowing what to expect, we decided to take an out-of-town visitor the this museum. Our curiosity was peaked as you would not expect such a highly rated venue to be located in an area of an industrial park north of Beltway 8 near Airtex. We were pleasantly surprised. The review said that you would spend about three hours there,... More

This was a GREAT place to go!!. Just north of Houston not too far. Not everyone in our group was excited, but by the time we were finished, they all agreed that it was worth the trip. Do go - very unusual. Lots of history and fun facts. Large open spaces, clean, and would recommend it to anyone.

One of Houston's bizarre places to see. It really is quite interesting and kids will enjoy it too. Great place to pick up some inexpensive souvenirs too. Last time I went there was even a Batmobile Replica car and a Pope exhibit. It's really worth a look!

We were in Houston for Super Bowl and my wife went online to find "other" local attractions and came up with this. First off, this place is not morbid- it's filled with historical artifacts, and secondly, there is a TON of stuff to see, as we were in there four hours and could probably go back for another visit. What... More

This was an add on stop during a day out with friends. It was very interesting. I have joked about going many times and finally made it. The vehicles alone are worth stopping by to see. Great little gift shop. Several selfie spots. Those were fun. You could spend hours. We were there for 2 hrs and did not see... More
