The Degas exhibit ends on Monday January 16 so the area was really crowded but to see his collection in one place was wonderful. The Chinese collection of art from Taipei is also worth the visit. It too won't be at MFAH for much longer. Walking underground from one building to the next, you pass through the Wilson Tunnel, a... More

Came to MFA Houston to see Degas retrospective; did not disappoint. Checked out permanent collection while here; excellent! Love Houston museums.

My friend and I made a trip from Fort Worth to Houston to see the Degas exhibit. It was totally worth it. I'm so glad we got to see it. It was a challenge finding parking but we persevered. If you want a parking spot, it's probably best to get there before the museum opens at 10. The exhibit was... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my Saturday afternoon visit to the MFAH. The sequence of programming allowed me to enjoy many offerings within the museum. The main attraction, which drew large crowds, was the Degas exhibit. I always appreciate the availability of the recordings for the self guided tours. The exhibit itself was excellent. A very pleasant surprise was a 3:00 concert... More

I visited MFA specifically to enjoy the Degas exhibit. What a treat, beautifully curated. Sadly, closing in a few days.

A must if you´re in Houston, their permanent collection is extensive and great, and they always have very good quality in their temporary exhibits

Just came from the MFAH and viewing the Degas Exhibit. It was a delight. The facility is up to date, personnel are efficient and very accessible. MFAH has a regular array of interesting and notable exhibits, including their permanent collections. Free admission on Thursday evenings is great for younger crowd (but not crowded) with outdoor setups & bar along with... More

We started with the building with art of Asia, America and Africa, so we didn´t have time to finish the american art. We asked the guard of the tunnel who the author was, and he had no idea!! Incredible, what a lack of interest, standing all day there and not even bothering to learn that. The restaurant was out of... More

The Museum of Fine Arts Houston has a wonderful permanent collection. But this art museum gets fabulous special exhibits. It is the only museum in he United States to get the new Degas exhibit. We took two of our grandchildren to the Degas exhibit and had no trouble with guards, etc... we did keep a tight rein on them and... More
