Getting into the space is in itself an experience. I felt transported to a tropical location, then came the butterflies, some of them latched on to me. To have such a fragile being on me, with those beautiful colors, it's not an experience that is...More

If you are a photographer and love butterflies, you can stay here for hours. I totally forgot about time. The sounds of flowing water over rocks and the greenery, make you feel like you are a Costa Rican rainforest. The many colorful species of beautiful...More

What a wonderful experience. Butterflies of every shape, color and size. A virtual rainforest under this glass dome. Bring your camera, but you better be fast, as these guys don't sit still very long. Great adventure for the little kids, and the not so little...More

Meander through a small rainforest where colorful butterflies dance around and sometimes land on you. (One landed on my husband's forehead and stared into his baby blues for a full two minutes, which delighted hubby no end.) Lots of pretty tropical plants and a waterfall...More

So many butterflies to view. Many types and ever time you stopped, there were so many to see. Staff were knowledgeable and helpful. Price is good if you are already a museum member. It's a very memorable activity. I've been about 4 times over the...More

She loved the butterflies just flying all around her and landing near her. Very cool experience if you've never been. It's a bit pricing, but it's fun.

I took some friends who were here to celebrate their son's birthday. We had so much fun and the kids really liked the experience. Leave plenty of time to tour the Museum of Natural Science. It is a jewel of Houston museums.

Great place to see some amazing bugs and learn about the butterfly lifecycle. You can see the stages of growth as metamorphosis takes place and see butterflys hatching from their chrysalis'

We enjoyed this. My daughter loves butterflies in general so we enjoy anything that has butterflies anyway. You can easily spend 30 minutes or more here. Some butterflies land on you. Lots of nice picture opportunities.

About an hour; you first sit down for a 5 minute, informative video, and then walk around and explore on your own. We like to give the butterflies a chance to get used to us a bit, so they land, and you get some great... More

I have been many times, never seen a service dog. Agree that a dog could be a hazard to small creatures in the exhibit. You can enjoy the BC in less than an hour, so maybe someone with you could watch your service animal in... More
