There are some many "good spots" for picture taking. Wedding rehearsal, wedding anniversary, or just scenic pictures. You will enjoy the walk inside the campus with live oak and different type of trees. The architects of each building also enhance the beauty of the campus....More

Walked the campus, beautiful area, very serene on Saturday morning during the flooding, Great place for a relaxing walk. Lots of history in the buildings, interesting sculptures and just a peaceful walk during the troubled times for Houston during the Hurricane Harvey aftermath and clean-up.

Located next to the medical district and near several museums located in a nice part of Houston (unlike several major universities which are located in slums). Includes a major stadium. Rice has several Summer sports programs.

Ok, I confess, this is a very bias review as my son graduated from Rice several years ago. Having visited the campus many times during his four years I came to appreciate the beauty, the architecture, and the history. He still lives in Houston so...More

I have walked and jogged through this campus many times now, and it is a treasure! Gardens, tree-lined streets and walking paths, cricket games and soccer games and softball games... And bicycle races! The architecture is beautiful, and the people-watching and scenery is first rate!

Usually you have to pay to park. Five dollars I believe. But the tennis matches are free to the public.
