Great place to spend the day. Multiple hiking routes to customize distance. Great scenery. Can even rent paddle boats to spend some time on the water. Just don't swim in the lake...there are a lot of alligators. Probably should keep your dogs on a leash...More
Had a wonderful weekend at this state park, probably the prettiest we’ve been to in Texas.
Stayed in one of the shelters with a/c which was perfect for early summer. We had site 19 which is definitely the nicer of the two upgraded shelters.
Beautiful state park on a lake with two separate camping areas. There were several fishing piers throughout the park, great fishing! Several hiking/biking trails through hardwood forests and around the lake. Campsites had grills, fire rings, electric and water. Bathrooms/showers were very clean.

Nice lakes, trails and park. Good place to get away. This is a nice property. It is somewhat plain compared to other state parks such as Lost Maples, Brazos Bend, Enchanted Rock, or Palo Duro Canyon. But it is a decent place to get outdoors...More
