This tour was the highlight of our weekend! I absolutely LOVED taking this tour. The staff was great and very entertaining. The tour provided a lot of history about Jefferson "back in the day". I learned a lot about the town and it's history while enjoying some of the wildlife perched on logs along the way. What's to say about... More

This was a short trip (1 hour), but very entertaining due to the boat captain, John. His history of Jefferson was very interesting. He's one of those characters that you could talk with for hours. It was worth the $10 to just talk with him. We did get to see a gator sunning on the banks.

We enjoyed this ride with good narration regarding the history of river boats and Jefferson. The tour guides were fun, knowledgeable, and entertaining. Unfortunately there just is not much to see on the ride. Basically you are just riding up and down the river. The docks were you load and unload to the boat were a little sketchy. Overall, I... Husband and I took this fun and scenic ride today. It was relaxing and only $10 per person for an hour ride. The tour guide was friendly and gave lots of interesting history about the area! A must do when visiting Jefferson!

John gives a great guided tour about the history of Jefferson, with a focus on the steam boats which used to come there. You get a beautiful view of the bayou and we saw Great Blue Herons and turtles. A very pleasant afternoon outing for a great price.

There is nothing fancy about the building where tickets are sold or the boats in which you ride. However, the driver gives visitors an interesting lesson in the history of Jefferson and the way the river affected its economy. It's a fasinating story for people who enjoy history and love to get a true feel for area where they travel.... More

Tour guide was very nice. Told a little history about the civil war and it's history in Jefferson and surrounding areas. Spoke about the bayou and ports. Interesting and informative. Great activity when weather is nice.

Boarding our craft! Gator the river dog. Our guide was knowledgeable and funny. Very nice, relaxing afternoon. Well worth the $10.00 per person. Third picture is of dead armadillo. Guide said in 10 years she's never seen one floating dead upside down on river!
