This is a neat place to stop. Johnny & Edith are a world of information and quick to share their knowledge and stories. It's hard to believe how extensive their private collection of clocks, surveying equipment and salt & pepper shakers are. I learned a lot from our short visit. They are an awesome little couple. You can see the... More

This little museum is run by Johnny and Edith Ingram from their collections of (mostly) made in the USA clocks, surveying equipment, and salt and pepper shakers. Eclectic, yes, but based on their personal interests. They have S&P from every state and beyond. The collection is massive as people continue to send them more to add to the collection. He... More

A must see. Absolutely fascinating to see all the clocks and surveying pieces. They also have an extensive collection of salt and pepper shakers. The couple who run this place are very kind and shared their knowledge of the things they have collected. It's free. They do accept donations!

Not only is this museum fabulous, the owners are unimaginably knowledgeable and welcoming! My family and I were absolutely captivated. The clock and salt and pepper shaker collections were very expansive! All in all it was a delight!

In my opinion this is the most interesting attraction in Jefferson. The collection of surveying and other measuring equipment is interesting, but the variety of clocks on display is truly mind-boggling. Did you know that there are mechanical clocks over 100 years that show not only the time but the day, month and day of the week? And they work... More

We just stopped in Jefferson for a break on our tour. Jefferson itself is a nice little town with this "western flair". So we decided to have a quick walk, to see and enjoy. On our walking way we found this museum. An older man invited us and inside a nice lady greeted us and explained a little. She and... More

I have been to several museums with clocks and this is by far the nicest collection I have seen. It also helps that the owners are very knowledgable and freely share information about the time pieces with their guests. I say guests because this is a private collection and they do not charge for you to enjoy. They truly make... More

Let me start by telling you this museum was not our destination but it will be next time. Our small group was plodding down North Polk Street in quaint Jefferson, Texas, wondering who might spontaneously combust first when a perky little woman jumped out of her car and asked, 'Would you like to see the museum?' As Mrs. Ingram and... More
