Nice, large and private camp areas (tents)

Nice, large, private and primitive camp sites for tenting. Many on cliffs above Lake Travis. Don't have info on RV sites to share but the park is huge so there are many options.

Everything I wanted in camping!! Beautiful lake, beautiful views! Easy access! "Cliffs" you can jump off! The most bare-able outside restrooms I've ever been in! I can't wait to go back!

What a great park to explore! My husband and i loved exploring this park by car and hiking the cliff trails. We found a great spot to get in the lake for a bit with no one around. We normally dont swim lakes but it was just a beautiful spot and what a memorable afternoon!! We loved this park and... More

This park is a great place to visit. I went here for mountain biking there are great single track trails here, if you are from out of state and not used to the rocky terrain here then even the easy trails can be a bit technical (I am from Utah and do a lot of mountain biking and still found... Gorgeous lake to see. Had a fun day here. Lots of people seeing as we were here Memorial day weekend. But still open for all to enjoy without being crowded. Family fun at very low cost. $10 for the day for the car full of us.

My girlfriend and I spent 2 nights camping. We reserved a spot at the improved camping sites. The improved camping sites are more fit for RV camping but it was also great for tent camping. Each spot had it's own grill, table, and campfire pit. The spots also have electric hook-up for the RV, and different types of outlets-- I... More

There's a lot to hike. You can get some really pretty shots, and is very relaxing. There is no wow factor, it's just a nice park overall.

Depending upon the side of the park you choose, you can camp on cliffs or right down next to the water. Nice get away not too far outside Austin. Fun even for the day to hang out and swim/cliff jump

Amazing views from our primitive campsite, the only reason we didn't give a 5 star is that the ground is somewhat stony and gravelly, and for tent campers it's great once you find a decent patch of soil. We camped on a weekday, it was very cheap and nice and secluded.

Spent a Saturday here in February hiking the trials. $10 fee to enter the park for the day. The trails were not marked at all so it was very hard to follow and know where to go. Pretty easy hikes even on the harder trails. There were quite a few people on the trails and in the area enjoying the... More
