Garden Valley resort is a hidden gem in east Texas. Located in Lindale, a small town 90 minutes east of Dallas, the resort features a nice 18 hole course open to the public. We stayed in Bungalow #2, a quaint cabin overlooking the lake and Hole #18. The only negative: the course was packed so the pace of play was... More

Greens and grass are always nice. Greens roll nice and are in excellent shape. They are still slowly fixing bunkers but seems like they are almost done. Very scenic golf course with a variety of open holes, holes lined with trees, and fun strategic holes. Course does need improvement with management staff but other than that it is a great... More

Garden Valley has a beautiful golf course located in the Piney Woods of East Texas. The course is well maintained and challenging for all but the best golfers. Several blind approaches and lots of opportunities to get wet. The 19th hole has excellent fare. Just 20 minutes west of Tyler, Garden Valley is open to the public but has the... More

5 Guys from Dallas played last Friday 6/24/16. Greens just sanded and they knew we were driving up from Dallas did not tell us, and I made mistake and didn't ask. Two of t boxes hard as brick due to lack of water on these. Some Sand traps not managed properly. Mowers on course at 1 p.m. which is kind... More

Our Buddy trip(20 guys) played yesterday. Everyone LOVED it. Great condition - especially greens.Exceeded expectations. Still need to finish refurbing bunkers which they're doing. We treated them as GUR. No problem. Getting close to its old glory days. Setting & design ( espec. back 9) is amazing. It feels like Augusta. Go ! Great value. We stayed in Lufkin.

The course plays 6200 yards from the white tees and will challenge golfers at all skill levels. The greens are in magnificent shape and were freshly manicured. The front side of the course offers tree lined fairways while the back takes you around parts of the lake that border the property. The club house facilities were clean and in a... More

My husband and I spent a day in June at this beautiful East Texas golf course. It was our first time playing on this course and we had heard really good reviews from our friends in the Dallas area. While I am a novice golfer, he is very experienced and enjoys playing courses all over the world, dragging his clubs... More

High priced horrible conditions. $62.00 for 18 holes. No cart girl. We paid $24.00 for three breakfast burritos. No course management.

This was the first time I played this course. The practice green by the driving range was in awful condition. I had hoped that this wasn't going to be a sign of things to come. Some of the greens on the actual course were worse than the TERRIBLE practice green. I had heard that this course was really nice at... More

We just got back from a golf outing at this property. The Dock House accommodations were great. The property and layout is very nice. Sadly, the conditions were appalling. Most of the greens are dead or on life support. In my opinion, this course is being run into the ground by its inept owners. The staff is clueless as well.... More
