This is a natural history preserve. The interpretive center was interesting and hands on. It had 3D objects created so visitors could see and feel the objects they were learning about. The center was very interesting and took visitors back about 12,000 years in history....More

The Lubbock Lake Landmark is a fascinating place to visit. You can learn about the region's historic and pre-historic past — including VERY pre-pre-history (think Pleistocene). Kids will like the sculptures outside the museum. I'm fond of the small-faced bear, which has a small face but...More

Arrived at 3pm it was already closed. Took some pictures and saw some prairie dog. Certainly would have been better had it been open,

I don't get it. THe Lubbock City Council won't help the 300,000 folks here with the fundamentals of a dog park, but erect a giant series of softball/baseball fields and from what I can figure, as many as 18 soccer fields in one complex next...More

We live in Lubbock, but we have never been to Lubbock Lake. Spent about 1 1/2 hrs reading and touring. Very interesting. No charge but we left a donation. Archeological site dates back 15,000 or more years

I previously gave a rave review to LLL. I still love, love the place. But recent events and the way they were handled have led me to change my review. The museum is great. The kid's programs are fantastic! I cannot recommend the bigger trails...More
