We enjoyed our side trip to this little town. It's an easy drive from Fredericksburg and a fun place to walk around. There's a dance hall, small eating place, a hat shop, and general store with a stage out back with some good TX music.

This is such a great spot to visit in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. (And getting there is half the fun). Grab a beer at the back room bar and wonder around the grounds chatting with tourists and locals, watching the proud bantam roosters strutting their stuff, and just enjoying soaking up some local flavor. Music is great and the... More

It was our first trip to Luckenbach. We had been to Becker Winery and went on our was back to Fredericksburg. It was a warm Monday evening in February. Shortly after we go there, a pickers' circle began to form. We listened for a couple of hours to some fun music and watched the roosters and chickens strut around. We... More

Luchenbach is a must visit especially if heading to Fredericksburg. The General store and Back bar (cash only at the bar) is what Texas was and is all about. This was my 2nd trip to Luchenbach as I just love the feel of the entire place. The hospitality of the staff is welcoming and the environment is rich with characters... More

Went to experience the hype. The general store was very interesting. Things priced like any other tourist trap. The bar in the back was cool. Nothing big was planned for the day except the Pickers Circle. It was cool to experience. It was a cold day, so the resident cats that lived there were inside for the warmth and loved... More

The store is quaint. There were souvenir trucks, caps, shirts, lots of things to choose from. Neat! It is next a lil stage where musicians played. And across the dance hall.

This was the coolest! What an amazing part of Hills Country Texas History!! A little Waylon on the road trip helps too!! LOL. Seriously a great place. There were families to seniors there while we were and everyone was enjoying the historic value of this gem of a place off the beaten path. Beautiful drive to and from. We came... More

Stop in to get souvenirs of Luckenbach, and a cold brew. The attraction is mostly outdoors, so not a great rainy day activity.

After a longish drive out of Fredericksburg, without any traffic, we got to a place with hundreds of people, country music fans, a few barns, an old post office, and Jimmy Lee Jones and his sidekick Jim, stirring up nostalgia of the days when Willie, Waylon and the boys were hanging around....
