Small town focus on the city of Mansfield, but very well done. Many exhibits about the history of the town and it's people. Two floors in an historic downtown buidling. My 8 year old grandson loved the upstairs which focuses on daily life in the early era of the town. Well worth spending an hour or so.

The curators of this museum have done an excellent job showcasing the early history of the city, whose roots go back to the turn of the 20th century. The lower level contains interesting exhibits and artifacts from the city's early history, and the upper level offers a glimpse into home living in the early 1900's, complete with what I believe... I took my son here for an extra credit assignment and was very impressed. The museum is laid out very well over two floors in downtown mansfield on Main Street. There are a ton of local artifacts of Mansfield history dating back to 1856. Plan to spend at least an hour here because even though it's small there's a lot... More

This deceivingly small museum actually has much to see and is very informative. Wonderful old photographs and artifacts from over 125 years ago when Mansfield was founded. The staff is great and knowledgeable. A worthwhile visit with younger people especially to help History come Alive!

A beautifully appointed little museum in the old down-town section of Mansfield. There is a full time employee there to talk to you about Mansfield's history, but there are also well planned storyboards which make it easy to do your own tour of the museum. There are many artifacts from Mansfield's past and it is obvious that the citizens are... More

I love museum and even though this is very small...it has some very interesting pieces depicting the history of Mansfield. The gentleman in charge of the museum the day that I visited was very informative and helpful. Everyone interested in the city of Mansfield should visit this little jewel of a museum.
