If you are interested in local history or even like me are new to the area and want to learn more this is the place to go! The museum is chock-full of local history and Tom was a wealth of knowledge. I only wish we could've stayed longer to hear more. The building itself is gorgeous and worth stopping in... More

We stopped here as we had been wanting to come for a long while and we were not disappointed There were several exhibits regarding both early Texas and early McKinney history. The 20 minute documentary entitled "Once A Nation" was very well done.

Brings tears to your eyes as you wander through this particular exhibit, realizing what our men and women experienced during this war. The replica of the Hanoe Hilton is amazing and gave me true perspective on it. A number of other items that are extremely thought provoking.

Local gentlemen who were Vietnam vets have put together an amazingly extensive exhibit. Lots of personal "memorabilia" -- weapons, photos, uniforms, etc. Plus they have included a simulated "Hanoi Hilton" so that visitors can understand what it was like to be caged as the POWs of the Vietnam War were.

This unassuming little museum has a treasure trove of little stories that won't be apparent until you talk to the people inside. When you come in, look to your right and you will seee the Keppler Mural. Be sure to ask about it as it has an unbelievable history as to how it got her and wound up in three... More
