This impressive and large fortress is well situated to protect Trujillo from invasion. The visitor can walk all the ramparts and take in incredible views. Started by the Moors over 1000 years ago and then captured and expanded by Christian rulers, not much has changed...More

It's a climb up to the castle unless you are staying nearby which we were but the views are amazing from the top and the size of the fortress is very impressive.

It's in a fantastic position of course so the views are great. It would be worth viewing it from afar at night as it is lit up with floodlights. As others have said, what is remaining is quite well preserved and interesting to walk around...More

The castle is impressive in size and the battlements are very well preserved with great views. But that is it , no great halls or exhibitions.

The overall site is massive with the Castle, the various churches and monastery. Really amazing view of the surrounding countryside. Really worth the effort

Quite a long walk uphill to the battlements but the view is well worth it and there is a small bar in one courtyard also a 4star hotel but taking a car up to it could be fun

10min up hill walk from plaza mayor, the castle offers great views of the town. Great photo opportunity. The castle itself is impressive, you can pay to go in, but we chose not due to time.

We visited to. Really cheap admission fee, around €3 each. I wasn't sure we could enter the grounds but I was wrong. The walls are spectacular and the views from the top over the town is amazing. It's a must see here.

Your are back to the medieval, you can have a perfect sensation of what was living there around the 1400's walls, tower, amazing landscape, enchanting magical village, that has his original flavor, one of the most beautiful Pueblos in Spain.
