We hiked to this beach, but there is a bus station right there. The beach was pretty much empty. The water was clear and sandy and it was a great swimming spot. There were bathrooms and a playground. Great out of the way spot.

The beach is shallow for young kids and the playground is always a hit. The field is fun for boys and a soccer ball.

This beach is perfect for families with young children and those wanting a mild wave beach. It is seldom rough with little wave action. There is also a playground right next door when the kids need a dry off break.

This is a shallow sheltered bay, and perfect for families with small children. If the wind is in the right direction the water is like glass - clear, turquoise and inviting. Soft sand on the beach and a children's play area just behind the beach...More

Millions of shells and pieces of shells surround and invade the shallow waters of Shelly bay. Great spot for families and couples.

Shelly Bay Beach is known for family fun. Unlike the South Shore beaches on the island; during the summer months, it is the preferred beach for non swimmers, families with young children and for summer camps. During low tide, non swimmers can walk a good...More

We wanted to dip our toes in the Caribbean Sea, and this was the perfect place for it. There are better beaches for snorkelling and diving, but this one is walking distance of the centre of town, and uncrowded when we were there in the...More

Beautiful beach, very quiet. Very shallow for quite a way out so would be good for children. Also there is a small park next to it with childrens swings.
