Had to swim a fair way out for a sea-grass bed to snorkel on. The kids were somewhat intimidated by the completely naked Germans (mostly?) on the beach. The sea's chilly but not unpleasantly so in a week where the air temperature varied up to...More

Cofete has a wide, beautiful sand beach, great view over the mountains. Reachable wirh car or bus, but a 4x4 is recommended, since the only way to get there is a narrow dirt track. When windy the waves can get pretty huge and you should...More

Getting there is probably an attraction on its own. You need to get on a track with your car over the mountains - well not that high but the road is not the best one. Once you are there you can enjoy a fantastiv view...More

Visited this beautiful remote beach last month when on holiday. Dirt track over the mountains which could be a bit hairy at times but it was well worth it when we arrived. Long stunning beach with big waves and fairy quiet too. Pity it was...More

Miles of clean sands, mountain views. Not easy to reach but well worth it. No facilities, it is in a National Park.

This place is worth the 19km drive on untarmaced roads along the coast and through the mountains, along the route there are stunning views of both the mountains and the coastline. There are viewpoints along the way where you can stop and drink in the...More

Very big beach with endless waves. To get here you need to be careful on the offroad way. We travelled by the local Cofete bus.

Hi Charlie, Its an unmade road - dirt track but its fine if you take it easy. There is a rocky but at the top of the pass but its only for a short distance. I took a hire car without damaging it :) have fun.
