We hung around the area for our anniversary this year and found this little gem. We went mid-day so it was pretty hot but trees cover a lot of the path. There is a "dock" that circles the pond but there are no trees around...More

Great place to take my kids to see different kinds of wild life. It’s totally unexpected place for Midland. Great area to get out and walk, take pictures and just relax.

The reserve has well maintained walking paths, that you would never expect in the heart of the city. There is diverse wildlife to be seen around the playa, the butterfly garden and along the path.

The playa and preserve easy walking trails and boardwalk make it super easy to leisurely unwind with nature. We always see many birds and bunnies.

Really enjoyed visiting here. While its not as expansive as a national park with mountains and tall trees, I think they did a great job. There are lots of birds, butterflies, and lizards. A large marsh in the middle that sports ducks. It's pretty much...More

The I-so Wildlife Preserve is a delightful piece of West Texas that I had never taken advantage of until I took my grandkids to experience it. I expected wide-open prairie land surrounded by pump jacks, but was pleasantly surprised that there was a wonderful paved...More

As a lifelong Midlander. I cannot say enough about how little there is to do here and how little natural beauty exists. This area is a natural playa that basically functioned as an area to catch flood waters. I'm ranking it 5 stars for Midland....More
