Stopped to see the crater on road with zero entertainment just a mile off I 20. Store was closed Sunday morning but probably would have been cool. 600 ft wide and 100 ft deep. If you can appreciate a crater and picture the meteor, it's...More

I enjoy all of the little weird attractions of the world. This one is a quick, fun stop. It is free. Donations are accepted. They are closed on Mondays. It is basically a hole in the ground, but there is history and it is interesting...More

If you're expecting a massive crater you'll be gravely disappointed. Since it's been over 50,000 years or longer most of this crater is filled in. It basically feels like a small West Texas caliche pit. They do have a neat exhibit inside and you can...More

Nice collection of meteors from around the world-- a friend of my dads owns all of the meteors and this museum would not be there without he and his family efforts.

Visited this site but there wasn't much to see. The museum was closed even though the hours posted says it should be open.

It's a good place to stop & stretch your legs if you are already in the area. The 9yr old loved reading all the educational signs along the path. Bummer that it's filled with dirt over there years. Maybe someone will dig it back out...More

Actually a pretty cool hole in the ground. While not overly large since the winds and rains have significantly filled it in over the years, it is still cool to know that a meteor blasted this hole.

I've stopped at a lot of roadside landmarks, but this was the most disappointing even with my low standards of fun. The lady working in the museum was very nice, but that was about the best part. What isn't obvious when planning this stop is...More

When we arrived I made fun of the shallow depression next to parking for being the crater; soon found out that it was the crater. Walked the crater at 102+ degrees temperature; although we took our time walking path around and reading the few signs...More

As far as I know, the center is open from 1 to 5 on Sundays. However, Google Odessa meteor crater and it should give you the phone number for The Visitor Center to verify.
