There are many places with better 'views' than nacogdoches. You will enjoy being in the trees much better than trying to see above them. This would be a good place for a picnic to kill an hour or so. But not more.

It was on our route so we stopped at this scenic overlook. Although it does offer a long distance view of the Nacgdoches valley, I did not find it appealing enough that I'd go out of my way to visit again.

I have often visited the overlook when conditions were different and visibility much better. It is always an impressive view.

Perfect for a date night, the scenic overlook is just beautiful. Just be careful when you go out there at night, a lot of college and high school kids....

A quiet look out over the Nacogdoches valley and surrounding area. There are two covered picnic tables with bbq pits to boot.

Driving from Houston to Shreveport with two of my sons we came upon this overlook and turned around to check out the view and take a short break from driving. There is easy access in and out of the overlook even when pulling a trailer as we were. The area was well maintained and clean with picnic tables and trash... More

We were driving along Highway 7 East when we came upon this overlook. There is a long narrow uphill drive to the top, where there are several picnic tables, most under shelters. The tables are cement and in good condition. Trash receptacles. We did not see any restrooms. The view is awesome of the area ranches, valley, farms, meadows, some... More
