About
ALL VISITS REQUIRE AN APPOINTMENT. Please contact the sanctuary for scheduling. Saint Francis Wolf Sanctuary is dedicated to rescuing and caring for non-releasable wolves and wolfdogs, providing them with a stable, loving, and exceptional home, with an abundance of loving and compassionate care. We provide all of our animals with regular, balanced, nutritious meals; exceptional veterinary care; safe and comfortable sources of shelter; frequent enrichment; and, when appropriate, human or canine companionship. We do not buy, sell, or breed any animals. We also support educating the public about issues involving wolves and wolfdogs, and dispelling the many myths that surround these frequently misunderstood animals. Through guided on-site tours, visits from ambassador wolfdogs, off-site presentations, and other outreach avenues, we provide accurate, engaging information about wolves and wolfdogs, conservation issues, and the downsides of exotic pets.

Love the new location!
Jul 2021
Love the new location! Cassie did a great job giving the history of the wolves and telling little stories about each of them. Enjoyed having the large covered pathway with fans! Nice gift shop.

Suggest offering tours early morning or after 6pm, so that it's not so hot.

Suggest making a small covered area in front of each enclosure for the tour guide to stand without being in the sun.

Con: Bathrooms did not have lights and needed to be stocked with TP. Had to have my neice hold the door open so I could see, which also left me exposed (awkward). I only had a couple of squares of toilet paper to use.

Guided wolf sanctuary tour
Jul 2021 • Family
This wolf sanctuary currently has 11 wolf/wolf dogs. Our tour lasted about an hour and the tour guide, Casey, did a great job. There is a covered pathway and bench seating outside the kennels so you can sit and be out of the sun during the presentations. There is not much to do here except the tour and learning about the animals themselves. There is a gift store area. We visited with our teen daughter while in the area for a softball tournament. Not sure I would drive a long distance for this, but if you are in the area it is worth a stop.
