We had a good time there. The zoo is clean and the animals are well cared for. My kids really enjoyed feeding the goats and chickens. All of the animals were really fascinating. The crocodile feeding show was amazing and worth the price of admission.

We love this place. This was our third time to visit and it has changed a lot since the first time we went several years ago. The shows are a nice addition and the petting zoo is our favorite.

This was our first time visiting the Animal World and Snake Farm Zoo and our family was pleasantly surprised by the zoo. From the outside, you might not think there is a lot to see inside, but as they say, looks can be deceiving.
For the size of the facility, they have many animals to see. All the animals are in cleans quarters and appear to be well cared for. Unlike some zoos, that keep the animals far away from visitors, you can see these animals from a closer distance, with still maintaining guest safety.
You have the opportunity, should you choose, to interact with many of the animals at the zoo. The staff indicated they are working to expand the facility which should only make it more enjoyable.
Our family will definitely return to the zoo and eagerly wait their expansion!

We visited the Animal World some days ago. After rainfall the whole area was really muddy and so were we after the visit.
We paid almost $60 for 2 adults and two small boys (3 and 4) - in my eyes too much for what you get. You should reduce the price for small kids or offer a family ticket to give more families the chance for a visit. For 60 bucks you can spend a whole day in large zoo with your complete family over here in Germany.
The zoo itself is not really big, you are dine in an hour. They have a lot of nice snakes.
The bigger animals like the lions and the cougars have in my eyes very lovelessly and boring enclosures and the worst thing is, the enclosures are way too small in my eyes to be appropriate.
There is so much space everywhere in the area, why don't you give them space to live?
We are from Germany and we have been to many zoos and animal parks in the world, but I have never seen so small areas for such fascinating creatures - really sad.

Had such a great time seeing all the amazing animals and at such a close distance too! The snakes inside were all neat to see. I especially loved all the outdoor animals! The beautiful lions, the big warthogs, the fun otters, an adorable petting area of farm animals and plenty other awesome animals too! Definitely a fun experience!

Do not be fooled by the strange frontage road location! This place is an absolute gem of a zoo! It is small on the outside but has just about every snake you can imagine! I like to study the venomous ones so I can be better prepared here in Texas! The snake exhibit is awesome but there is so much more outside! The foxes, lemurs, owls, gibbons, otters and capiberras (spelling?!!) are some of our favorite animals here, although we go enough to know just about everyone here! The best part about this zoo is that you can get very close to the animals (while still being safe) and really watch them interact in a way that you cannot at other zoos! We never come back without a funny video of some sort. I can't wait to see what they do with the new upgrades! We love you Snake Farm and Zoo!

I took my grandchildren ages 7, 4, and 2 1/2 and we had a fabulous time. The snakes are in tanks at both toddler level and adult level so it’s easy to see them. Lots of good information is posted near each creature. Outdoors there are lots of amazing animals: zebras, wart hogs, lions, cougars, many kinds of primates and lots of exotic birds. The kids loved feeding the hens and roosters that stroll around the venue. The goats, sheep, and pigs in the petting zoom had no fear of people and were fun to feed if you want to get really close. More snakes are in the gift shop area which also includes a rattlesnake pit and some other type of dragon lizard. Our visit lasted 1.5 hours and included a break eating ice cream novelties sold from a truck that also had adult beverages and savory snacks. We had a great time and can’t wait to come back.

Pros: Interesting animals there/Shows put on/Good snow cones/
Cons: Animals in small enclosures.
Bottom Line: It was interesting, yet I felt guilty for purchasing tickets to support this place.

What is a good time to go on a Saturday? Is there a specific feeding time for the animals when they are more active? How long does it take to walk around the whole thing? We don't plan on rushing through it.

I would go,early in the day due to the Texas heat. Saturday days are busy too. You can take as long as you wish. We did spent 1 1/2 hours outside. Children loved the petting zoo.

When we were there last summer they did. They are unbelievably gorgeous and appear healthy. Just breaks my heart that they live in a place like this!

Can you pet the exotic animals?

Yes! all pet-able animals are running wild in the park and it seems they are just waiting for the train to ride through so they can get fed by the guests arriving.

Sorry, I do not believe you can . There are so many animals and birds close, I wouldn't anyway. It's small in there but they've just bought 20 acres to expand the zoo. We're so excited for them.

I do not work there. I was a customer/visitor. If you'd like to know whether they put the crocodiles and alligators together, you can call them and ask. They were really friendly. (830) 608-9270.

Hi there!
I am planning a visit there with a group of 11 children who are participating in a summer camp with me. We will be in the area (Seguin) to compete at a horse competition and I love the thought of including "other animal" education as part of their experience.
Can someone please contact me about education opportunities during a visit for children ages 8-15? We would be visiting on either the 30th or 31st of July.
Thank you!
