Great museum

We found the Crockett County Museum to be quite interesting. We were the only ones touring it at the time we arrived and enjoyed being able to take as long as we wanted with each display.

As a new resident of the area it was a great way for us to get to know the area and history of what is around us. Was a well mapped out adventure that my six year old was able to navigate us through using the map provided. Friendly staff.

I loved this museum!! It is small but so worth the visit!! Each floor of this museum is packed with the history of this small west Texas town and county!! The staff at this museum were extremely friendly and helpful!! I highly recommend a stop in both the town of Ozona and this museum in particular!!

Nice little town stop at the visitors center for more info - staff was very nice - gas and food close by - we had just come through the far west Texas oil fields and wanted to get the car washed. Nice find worth a 1 hour stretch

Great side stop on way to Seattle. Staff- extremely friendly. At $3 a person, price is great. I love museums and antiques and all that comes with it. A good little stop!

This museum is small but does have some nice exhibits. They have a fairly large arrowhead and Indian pottery exhibit along with some old rifles and swords from the 1800's. They also have some great clothing from the 1800's among-st other things.

We heard of this from the fliers in the America Best Value Lobby, on our way out of town, we stopped and visited here, We had alot of fun touring this place, and enjoyed the history. We were the only ones here on a monday, nice. I think it was just a donation, not a fee, dont recall, either way well worth it. I recommend!! Give yourself some time to enjoy all 3 floors

Small town reminiscing

My wife and I didn't expect much from this three story home masquerading as a museum but we spent about 90 minutes enjoying the antiques, knock-knacks, clothing and memorabilia that focused heavily from the late 1800s until the 1950. There are some Indian exhibits and early settler exhibits as well since it tells you the story of Crockett County settlers but this isn't the selling point. Check out the clothing on display or the insane looking perm machine. The kids were kept occupied by signs that sent them on a scavenger hunt within each room. This felt like I was visiting my grandfather's house with all of the stuff collected from days gone by. I wouldn't recommend you plan a trip to Ozona just to see this museum but it's a great way to take a break and stretch your legs when traveling to or from San Antonio on I-10.
